The way I look at it is... Every day my mom is here is another day closer to a cure. She has extensive SCLC also. New treatments are coming out all the time. Then all I need is one day, cause tomorrow there may be that cure.

[Neuropathy Help]

My mom asked me to post this for her. She has problems with neuropathy in her feet because of the treatments and she had a broken pelvis a few years ago. Her feet were so sad and sometimes scary to look at. We discovered some things to do to help alleviate the problem and her feet look 200% better! She wanted to share it with all of you.

She has been using a cream she bought off the internet called REX EME, here is the website www.rexemecream.com

Also we got her a foot massager (you know, the kind that you fill with water and it vibrates the water) and put some good soaking salt stuff for feet.

She has alot more feeling in her feet now, they are not swelling like they had been and they look soooooo much better.

I know it will make her happy if she can help some of you.

My mom is just finished the 5th of 6 scheduled chemo sessions for sclc with mestatis (sic) to the liver.... So, what happens now? I am afraid that without the chemo, it will start again... the chemo has reduced the cancer but is it now some kind of sick waiting game for it to rear its ugly head again? Any information would help me so much...

I have always had problems with my weight... I could open a dress store and have every size.. But since my mom has been diagnosed with sclc, I have started to put on so much weight, in fact, I am the heaviest I have ever been in my life... Has anyone else had this happen..?

Hi,

I have been reading your site for a few weeks but afraid to register. My name is Lisa and my mom has been dx with sclc and it has gone to her liver. A little over a month ago, I was on top of the world. I had a job i truly enjoyed, had a cash windfall that got all my financial worries solved and in a single breath, my world came crashing down. And as of Thursday, I lost my job because of a stupid mistake I never would have made if I hadnt been preoccupied with my mom's illness. She has had one bout of chemotherapy and is going to start the 2nd this week. Her hair is pretty much gone, its not that she looks bad, she looks good, its just that with her hair gone, I know this is not a bad dream... I think I need to get some help for me too.... All I do is cry... She is more sick now with the treatment then she was before... Will she stop feeling bad or is this the way it will stay? Anyway, ur site is great and god knows, I could use some support...
