The oncologist told us that they may consider a stent in the future but prefer not to do them if possible. The only person I have read about getting a stent for this was luluc's brother and I believe it went well. You could PM her and ask about it. Also, search her posts because I believe she asked this same question and John answered with some links. Now, there are people on here (I believe) that have had them done on the heart as it's a common procedure to open a blocked vein.
