    crazy

this is my post. I know that my husbands response to chemo is a pos. thinng and that there are plenty of people here who are in worse shape than we are. I know that I should not waste what I have now being sad about what will happen in the future. However, sometimes it is so hard to be positive, have gratitude and faith. I sometimes feel that the times when I do have faithand feel that no matter what happens I can be ok that I am crazy and those feelings are wrong and I am fooling myself.

    THANK YOU

I would like to thank all of the people who have lost loved ones but continue to post, continue to support everyone here and continue to research. Also, there is a group on this board who seem to respond to just about every post. I dont' post that often but when I do I always get support. Thank you. It is important for you to know that you are doing something to make other lives better and that is one of the most important jobs there are.

    QUILTS

Hello everyone, Some of you know who I am. My name is Sara and my husband has nsclc IIIb. He is 35, I am 32 and we have two young children. I have decided that if he doesn't get through this that I am going to make quilts out of his cloths. One each for our kids and one for me. So, I thought that this is something I would really like to do for others. So, if there is anyone out there interested in this please email me. You can send me the cloths and I will take care of the rest. I love quilts, and I love to sew. saramaryk@yahoo.com It just seems comforting to me to have a quilt made of my husbands favorite cloths. Even for a grandchild or whatever. I am really interested in doing this, so if this sounds appealing for anyone who has lost someone please get in touch with me.
  6. Dear Shordy, I don't know what is going to happen to your father, I am hoping and praying for good things. What I do know is that no matter what happens there are so many people on this board who will be here for you who understand and will support you and I know that makes a difference. For all of us who are living through this we can make a differnece in someone's life and make things just that much better and know that our loved ones are not alone. Imagine some people go through stuff like this alone.
  7. Don't you feel like you are a part of this club that you wish you didn't know about. My husband has leukemia and nsclc stage 3b ( he' s 35 and I am 32) and our 3 month old daughter was born with a serious heart defect. She has had one heart surgery and is scheduled to have another in june or july. I am not mentioning any of this because I want pity or anyone to feel sorry for my family. I am just struggling with the idea that God doesn't give you more than you can handle. I am a spiritual person and I believe in a higher power. It seems that so many on this board deal with so much and then their are so many people who have just an ordinary life. sometimes this challenges my faith.

    velcade

Today I heard about Velcade on public radio. It is currently being tested on nsclc stages 3b and 4. If you search velcade lung cancer you'll find some info on it.
  9. Hi Carleen, My husband is 35 and was dx with IIIB adenocarcinoma in Jan. I know how hard this can be and how scary to think of losing your husband especially when you are so young. I am 32. I encourage you to try to stay on the hopeful side of things. You don't know the future and I believe that it is better to spend this time in hope as much as you can versus despair. This is a good place to vent feelings and find people to talk to when you can't talk to your husband. I am thinking of you and your husband and hoping good things. Sara K

    surgery?

I am wondering how they determine whether or not to operate, use radiation etc. My husband has stage 3b adeno. The cancer is in the pluera. The doctor has said this is inoperable but I have read about similar situations where they do operate.
