Nothing now she's officially done her chemo treatment 2 more weeks of radiation small celebration. Hoping to hear NED soon

O that's weird how they say it happens but don't put meds before even before a reaction. My mom said the doctor panic when they saw her but maybe she was the one panicking haha but all is good now. This cycle seems to be better overall after each day so hoping ur second cycle is the same

Hi yes the doctors gave her medicine before chemo this time around so no reaction! Today is her last day of chemo and will start imminotherepy soon

Yea I was curious what her pdl % was I told ny mom to ask the doctor why she's going on immunotherepy after her 2nd cycle of chemo. I'll havebto get her to ask for a copy for her pdl1 score

Hey I know you've been having a tough time any I'm praying for u. I don't know the full details as I wasn't there but my mom just texted me saying that it happens to some people? She couldn't breath so they had to give benadryl, oxygen ecg. She didn't have a reaction first cycle but today she did. They continued the chemo and will monitor her tmr for her next chemo session

So my mom started her second cycle of chemo today and had an allergic reaction where she couldn't breath has anyone experienced that?

Hi guys so my mom is egfr positive did 1 course of chemo and about 4 weeks in radiation starting today she's doing her 2nd course of chemo but after this will start immunotherepy. Just curious of why they will put her on immunotherepy even if she's egfr positive. Doctors say she will get targeted therepy if the cancer ever comes back which is odd of them saying that as they seem to already know it is gonna go away

O interesting what they told me is that they will use the targeted therepy if the cancer ever comes back. But I never knew immunotherepy isn't effective if ur egfr positive ill have my mom ask them

Hey just curious so my mom had egfr expn deletion but still going on immunotheepy is there a reason y immunotherepy wasn't a option

So my mom officially shaved her hair and I need help in finding nice hats caps etc for the summer time to make her feel cool and cofortable

Hey guys so my mom talked to her doctor and said that her next chemo will be her last and will be put in immunotherepy once a month for a year. She's finished 1 cycle of chemo and then starting her second next week is this normal to be stopping after the 2nd and starting immunotherepy?

Hi thank u so much for your reply. Hea my mom had a chest infection which req antibiotics maybe she got it from my son? And also thanks for the coughing part my mom's cough seems a lot better never hear it when I visit her which I used to alway hear it but she also said that the doctors say it will get worse. May ibask what stage were u diagnosed and how r u now?

Hi so my mom finished first cycle of chemoradition about 3 weeks ago but still has her daily radiation but yesterday she developed a chest infection so she was admitted to an hospital to get tested blood work ct scan etc. They say everything is good besides the chest infection in the lungs. Had anyone experienced this and will she be fine.

Hi guys so I found out my mom is positive on egfr deletion and was told she would have that treatment if her cancer comes back she's on chemo radiation rn to treat her cancer stage 3b. My question is has anyone else got the mutation and how did it go or how benifitial was it going on targeted therepy with this finding

If she's positive with this mutation then y do doctors not use this type of treatment for the first line if it can change at any point

Thanks yea I saw egfr and was happy but didn't understand what the tiers mean. And yea her oncologist said that they will use that if her cancer came back in the future seems like they are certain the first line treatment will work and that biomarkers stuff will be in the future

Hi guys so my mom's first week is over for chemo and radiation and her symptoms were mostly tiredness and diarrhea and some loss of appitite and now she's saying she thinks she had acid reflux saying it kind of hurts. Are all these symptoms common?
