  1. Hi Susan: Thank you for the good-luck wishes for Monday. I needed to hear what will happen. How is your Mom now and what stage was she in then?

Kerri, my daughter, and I went for a WIG yesterday. I'm so glad my insurance (GHI) pays for 80% of the cost. I can afford it; but, I was so HIT IN THE FACE with the STAGGERING AMOUNT.

Sometimes I think I live in CUPCAKE VILLAGE. My life has been so easy and the Lord has been so kind to me.

    Warm greetings, Patty :P

  2. I HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR TODAY.

Kasey: You are a pretty lady too!

Carol: Thanks for the advice on ALEVE and HAIR!

WendyR: Your husband Maurice's sculpture in the background is incredible. It's a beautiful color of blue. He's a very talented man.

Don M: Thank you for the good luck. Your beautiful babies are so vibrant. Congratulations on all 3 of them; AND

Hawkeye: Massapequa,NY, is even more beautiful then when you left it. Long Island has become VERY EXPENSIVE over the past 8 years since they DOUBLED THE TAXES.

Thank you for the wonderful and heartfelt welcomes!

    Hugs, Patty

  3. Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement.

That was our daughter, Kerri-Ann Patricia's, wedding 2 years ago.

Luckily, my husband, Andrew, and all 3 of my children and their wives and husbands have been VERY SUPPORTIVE.

Kerri, in the picture, comes with us into NY City whenever I have to go to Sloan Memorial. She's a WONDER! Doesn't take NO for an answer! Her determination blows my mind away.

Please continue to pray for me! Monday, I go for my 1st CHEMO treatment.

    Hugs, Patty

  4. Thanks for all the loving support messages. You are certainly doing God's work for Him.

My anger has subsided and I am coming into a better place - of acceptance.

This Monday, Sept. 10th, will be my first CHEMO. at SLOAN MEMORIAL IN NYC. I will be going for 6 rounds, so far, every 3 weeks, for 5 hours a session.

Already taking all the minerals and daily supplements suggested by ERNIE PUCKETT from his Article entitled, ERNIE'S STORY STAGE IV (updated 7/11/07), which totally

inspired me since I also have LUNG CANCER STAGE IV.

Thanks for your advice and caring, too!

    Hugs, Patty

  5. "Tom K"]Linzy,

I just caught up with this thread and I was wondering if you have the option of talking with another doctor about other treatment options. I had cancer in my middle lymph nodes and it was eradicated with concurrent chemo-radiation. In fact there are a lot of people here who had similar diagnosis as yours and are cancer free after receiving this same type of treatment first then having surgery afterwards. I did it in reverse order because my lymph nodes were not discovered until after the surgery.

I am glad you decided to receive treatment. But if possible, you should consult with another physician because there are additional treatment options that may extend your life well beyond the 12 months your current physician is prognosticating. There are a lot of people on this board who had stage III cancer and are still here many years later. Good luck to you and I will be praying for you.

  6. :P Thank you to: Lillian, Ned, Welthy, Rochelle, Barbara, Carol, Connie, Judy, Mary Colleen and others:

Hearing from you wonderful people made the tears flow!

It is so nice to actually know none of us is alone with our fears.

All of the sharing made me understand what a long road

we all have ahead and posting on the message boards gives us an added dimension of strength that you pull from one another.

My hope for longevity is now supported by all of you. Thank you, Jesus.

Also, thanks for the advice and all the hugs.

    Here's a BIG SQUEEZE BACK!

    May God bless you, too!

    Warmly, Patty
