I am glad to have found this organization! I am a veteran oncology nurse, but I have recently been asked to develop a lung nurse navigator program for our community hospital. We are primarily a "private practice" community, so organizing and finding patients that are being admitted can be a bit of a challenge! I am often the first nurse to start educating patients about lung cancer. Many of the patients I see have just had their lung cancer removed and are hopeful that they are "done" with cancer! I am glad that I now have a resource I can refer them to for later support and education.
