Seems to me that where that tumor is located, it should be treatable. Not treating it and allowing a partial lung collapse to go on would send up a big red flag at my house. A second opinion is definately in order. People with complex and multiple cases are treated all the time. Get another or another opinion.

My thoughts and prayers to you both, You guys will get through it together, stay strong.

That was beautiful, Eric. I have always been a fan. Is all that Scotland? It is wondrous.

Hi Donna, You were there for me when I was dxd in 09. We had pretty much the same type of cancer. You're doing great, I'm doing great and I'll have your husband and you in my thoughts as you go. Cisplatin was the thing I credit my success to along with etopicide and then Cyberknife. I beleive you will pull through. It's a f*^& of a way to spend summer but you'll get through it. I'm proof that surgery isn't the only way to go sometimes.

Way to go, Eric. you are an inspiration.

I talked to a chap at the summitt who started xalcori(sp)) when it came out 2 years ago and said it was his miracle. Hopefully it will do as well for you.
-
Susan, I for one will be happy to join you next year at the summitt on Saturdy night for that quiet time talking. I bet more than a few would also enjoy that. I totally understand all that has been written here. I touched base with some but didn't get a chance to meet you or even connect the dots to "curlysue". See you next year.

Thank you, Ann

Diane, you're thinking duck pins, those are the little ones. (I coulda done that) Eric has funny words for alot of stuff. He never stops smiling, what a hoot. I can't stop thinking about the whole weekend. So many wonderful people.

Being in a room with 50 or so cancer survivors is an awe inspiring event. Being in a room with 50 or so LUNG cancer survivors is as life changing as the disease itself. Thank you all for an amazing weekend. I didn't get a chance to meet everybody personally, but you are all in my heart.
-
Can't wait to finally meet all of you too. I will miss KW Judy as I know we all will. I really wanted to meet her. I feel a big group prayer in our future. Safe travels everybody. See you in DC.

Cyberknife saved my life but it wasn't brain, but it's done often. Gammaknife is used too.

Many of us here have gone for 2nd and even 3d opinions. Just a thought. I don't intend to add to the confusion,
Just sayin.

That's the best news one can get......."pristine". that must be music to your ears.. never heard that before so wow, and stick around to share that inspiring kind of news,.

Hi you guys, Hey Janet, great news for you on the beetle. It'll make you easy to spot if you drive to D.C. You could take Amtrack, they make it pretty easy, I do it all the time. heavy thoughts for the last couple months. Keep the faith everybody. Cancer is a mean mean b*stard, we all have to fight it and fight it hard. If it was easy, it wouldn't be called a fight. Nothing new I know, it just gives me the blues.
-
Never ever underestimate the power of these prayers.

Me too, always miss KW Judy, talk to us.

great, great story., Patty, your persistence and craving for life are an inspiration and PROOF that a second opinion is always better than settling for something you don't want to believe. Feel free to share the new care center's name, so others might give them a call and also be saved.
