Guest robd1 Posted April 8, 2005 Share Posted April 8, 2005 hello all, my father is close to finishing 7 weeks of radiation, and 6 chemo treaments. what type of FOLLOW UP SCANS , should we expect/request? ie, CAT or PET both? and how soon after completion.? i continue to read all your stories,, and im very impressed and inspired by your fortitude... you s/be proud! i hope my dad, can summon some of that.. my best to all of you.. Remembering Dave Posted April 8, 2005 Share Posted April 8, 2005 The concensus I have found on followups is every 3 months. My Onc. Alternates CT scan and PET Scans. Of course now that my cancer appears to be on the move ( I've got it running scared ), I am getting more frequent scans. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
