Asbestos

My brother has lung cancer and he was highly exposed to asbestos.

He used to smoke but quit in his late 20's. In the last 7 years he was highly exposed to asbestos daily... They say that it takes years for any symptoms to show up if you were exposed to asbestos BUT "if you are or were a smoker" you could develop asbestosis, mesothelioma or LC much earlier. The 2 combined makes you more suceptible.

We are trying to find out if his cancer is related at all to the asbestos he was exposed to daily at his work.

The info I have at home says that typically, asbestos-related malignancies, such as mesothelioma or lung cancer, do not usually appear until at least 15-20 years after exposure.

Here is an informative link, click on it!
