endangered but surviving
My doctor is not pleased to be starting me on avastin with the carboplatin and taxol. But I have insisted and he has finally acquiesced and I will start on Friday. If anyone has had radiation level chemotherapy, like I did this winter, they have not had effective chemotherapy treatment. What this means is your insurance company will potentially okay coverage for avastin with carboplatin and taxol as " the new standard for frontline chemotherapy treatment for NSCLC" due to the study done by Dr. Sandler at Vanderbilt University. Frontline chemotherapy means no other chemotherapy regime, you can have had surgery or radiation. Will let you guys know how it goes.
