Larry Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 i DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS MY MIND PLAYING TRICK'S OR WISHFULL THINKING BUT IT SEEM'S LIKE THERE ARE TIME'S WHEN ATTENDING MASS I CAN ALMOST LITERALLY FEEL MY WIFE'S PRESENCE. LAST EASTER SEASON WHILE AT HOLY THURSDAY MASS FOR SOME REASON I SEEMED TO KNOW THAT MARIA A LADY WHO HAS BEEN BATTLING BREAST CANCER IN HER BONE'S FOR YEAR'S WAS GOING TO BE THERE AND BRING THE HOLY OIL TO THE ALTAR AS MY WIFE HAD DONE THE YEAR BEFORE. AND LO AND BEHOLD HERE SHE CAME BEING PUSHED IN HER WHEEL CHAIR AND PLACED BESIDE ME WHERE I WAS SETTING, AND OF COURSE WITH OUT ASKING I KNEW SHE WAS GOING TO BRING THE HOLY OIL TO THE ALTAR AND SHE DID. HER AND MY WIFE HAD FORMED A BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP AND HER FACE JUST GLOWED WHEN I TOLD HER LAST YEAR MY WIFE HAD BROUGHT THE HOLY OIL TO THE ALTAR. I KNOW HOSPICE SAY'S IN THERE LITERATURE THAT THING'S SIMILAR TO WHAT I'VE DESCRIBED CAN HAPPEN SO MAYBE THAT'S IT BUT IF SO IT IS A WONDERFUL BUT SAD FEELING COMBINED AND I'LL TAKE IT..... Quote
hollyanne Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 I absolutely believe she was there with you..there is no doubt in my mind. I have had two similar experiences (with my mom, not your wife!) As bittersweet as it feels, what a blessing. Embrace it! Quote
