Kelly Lew Frees

Kelly Lew Frees Lansing Age 49, went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 16, 2009 after a brave battle with cancer. Kelly was born January 16, 1960, and had been a Lansing resident most of his life. Kelly was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. He was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force. Kelly was owner operator of KI Logistics for 5 years. He was a member of Otto Men's Club, Knights of Columbus, Richard Council and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #1039. Kelly had an endless passion for coaching. He was the proud head JV girls basketball coach at East Lansing, along with countless other teams. Among many other hobbies he loved to hunt and fish. A loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, he will be dearly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his grandpa and grandma Scouten. Kelly is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; mother, Phyllis (Carl Price) Respecki; dad, Joe (Gloria) Respecki; children, Kashara (Devin Fox) Murphy and Kellie Frees; and brothers, Randy (Beeper) Frees and Michael (Jill) Respecki. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, along with many loving aunts and uncles. Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, January 21, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Maurice Hayes as celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends, Tuesday, January 20, 2009, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel with a Vigil Service held at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Kellie Elizabeth in memory of Kelly.
