sangeeta091 Posted June 16, 2010 Share Posted June 16, 2010 Attention Family Members of Lung Cancer Patients - Research Study (Fox Chase Cancer Center): Fox Chase Cancer Center is seeking family members of lung cancer patients to volunteer for a research study. To be eligible to take part, family members must be 18 years or older and smoke at least 10 cigarettes per day. We will assess health risks, such as smoking, and suggest ways to improve health. We would provide a free lung cancer risk assessment, one free smoking counseling session, free self-help materials, and can offer referrals to get medications and additional counseling to help with quitting smoking. Participants do not have to be local to Fox Chase or quit smoking during the study. Most researches or market studys will contact us directly and after vetting the opportunity for the safety of our membership we post the opportunties on our message boards. I just wanted to be sure our members know that this isn't a study that has been screened by us and that participating would be soley at their own risk.
