Vitamin D Linked to Lung Cancer Survival, Study Suggests

In reading the article, it seemed like the enzyme hindered but didn't stop or prevent Vitamin D from helping to fight the cancer. If this is so, then if they can identify heightened levels of the enzyme, then perhaps they could administer more vitamin D (Is vitamin D injections experimental or are they covered under health plans?). Or the best scenario would be to create a drug that could block the enzyme.
