lotus Posted June 2, 2019 Share Posted June 2, 2019 I am female, single, 60, fulltime sole caregiver to 90 yo mom with dementia. smoked age 16 to 50. started up again past horrible winter. developed minor upper back pain. 4 MRI's 6CT, Petscan, biopsy last Thursday. called back for Mammo "shadow" same day as notified of mass. April 12. Breast biopsy negative for cancer. Met oncologist once she ordered PET of lungs. Did not even call me with findings. Plan to go to Duke Oncology when diagnosed. Live in SW Virginia on 20 acres. Weather is better now. Am in second of three weeks off, handling the wait okay. Big family but all way up north. Taking one day at a time.
