karen335 Posted May 21, 2004 Share Posted May 21, 2004 Here's an article from Sloan Kettering about women and LC Women and Lung Cancer Researchers from Memorial Sloan-Kettering have recently reported an analysis that found lung cancer is a different disease in women than in men, and women may have a greater number of risk factors for developing the illness than men. The review also calls the sharp rise in the number of women with lung cancer a "contemporary epidemic." http://www.mskcc.org/20023 Sounds like the major hospitals and cancer institutes are starting to pay a little more attention to lung cancer.
