Hi Debbie - Welcome to the board so sorry you have a need to be here. I can not answer the question regarding emotions as I have not personally had cancer. I just wanted to take a minute and welcome you and let you know that there are many ppl on this board that will have advice for you. You sound like an amazingly strong woman and I will add you to my prayer chain.
((hugs))

It will be my daughters first time going and my son has not been in over 5 yrs so it will be great Other than that just another day at work (ugh I mean paradise).
Hope everyone has a great Friday!

Good morning Bud and Donny! Another Manic Monday for me. Bud I thought I was doing good on my 3 mile bike ride yesterday then I read your post and am quite embarrassed Well I had the most fantastic Mothers day just a "simple" (lol) bike ride and a family game of kickball at the field before dinner with my parents. Got my first sunburn of the year yesterday it was a high of 72 and today the high will be 57 and rainy
Well hope everyone has a fantastic Monday!

Good morning all, Been a bit crazy here for me lately learning a new job, finally learning to juggle work and being a single parent. Things are look good. Well little did I know my mom had a PET scan a few weeks back she went to her Dr. yesterday and is NED. She is 5 years from treatment this month so he released her. She texted me in the middle of my day telling me there was something wrong with her well she was having quite the anxiety attack thank goodness I had 1 lorazepam and took her to run errands with me and she was feeling better toward the end of the day. Yesterday I had a potluck at work in which I made enchiladas for and my sweet son offered to carry one of the pans for and he dropped it lol, then I thought he had a game yesterday so i got off early well no the game is today, I tell you sometimes if I dont laugh at myself I would prob get more upset. A high of 62 today mostly sunny
Hope everyone has a great day!

Well second attempt at posting the first one was lost. I am making this one much shorter and sweeter lol. Bud my thoughts and prayers are with you and Rose today. I hope she has a successful surgery and quick recovery.
I enjoy reading about haunted places near my home but am to chicken to check it out but here is my interesting "fact"?
Vancouver - Officer's Row - Nelson Residence - Reported in the local paper - There is a house two spaces left of The Grant House on Officer's Row and the house is home to Admiral Paul Nelson a great grandson of the former president William Howard Taft. when you enter the house on a Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday then you will see that the grass in front of the house is dead and brown and when you go inside there is a substance that looks like blood dripping from the walls...in the paper it said that Admiral Nelson's wife has spent hours among hours scrubbing the walls and the blood keeps appearing, no one knows for sure why blood drips from the walls or why the grass keeps dying and coming back to normal. - WARNING if you don't look up Admiral Nelson's phone number and ask him if you may come check the house out then he will consider you trespassing and you will be arrested and if he does let you in he frisks you for cameras and audio recording....no joke so be careful.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning all it was a beautiful weekend here in Washington. Almost 70 degrees and it was mostly sunny. Well now it is Monday and back to work. Well ahve to get busy but here is my interesting fact for the day...or maybe it is not interesting any how it is a fact lol
The Portland Rose Festival : each year for about a month (mostly in the first week of June), the city celebrates its annual Rose Festival, including two big parades (Starlight Parade Saturday night, Grand Floral Parade following Saturday morning), the crowning of the Rose Festival Queen, festivities at Waterfront Village (at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, carnival ride-type stuff), dragon boat races on the Willamette River, etc. Several big ships, largely from the US Coast Guard and Navy, come into port and tie up at Waterfront Park, where tours are usually available
Hope everyone has a great day!

Had a little extra time on my hands at work and thought I would post something about where I live.
Can't pump your own gas. Oregon is one of only two states (New Jersey is the other) where ordinary people can't pump their own gas - you must have an attendant do it. I'm not kidding!!! Native Oregonians seem to love this tradition and every attempt to get rid of this rule has been defeated. It is kind of nice in the winter time when it's cold and you don't want to stand in the rain and pump your gas or just don't want to get your hands dirty.

Hey Judy, I have been still getting daily headaches I gues not quite as bad, my dizziness has lessened and my body pain is now virtually not exisistent (sp). However, the doc said it can take up to a year for the symptoms to resolve and whatever is not gone in a year is permenant damage so heres hoping it disappears Thanks for asking....I will try to include some interesting facts about where I am from be it Oregon or Washington on the Air starting Monday. My computer at home is sick with a virus

Good Morning, TGIF..... I love my Fridays however, I know I am lucky to have a job as well....so it is suppose to be pretty today mostly sunny and a high in the upper 60's. My son is off to a slumber party tonight and my daughter is off to spend the night with her grandparents not sure what I will do. Maybe go home and go to bed early.....
Hope everyone has a fabulous day

A poem...

As some of you may know I suffer from Chiari this was a poem that a lady on the Chiari website wrote and I think it fits well here too.
like a thief in the night ,
it comes and destroys your life
the tingling numbness and pain
day after day its always the same
from within my soul screams
dear god whats happening to me
confussed and scared upon each awakening day
awaiting yet another symptom to come my way
some days i dont think i can go on any longer
im only getting weaker never stronger
so much mental torture my mind goes through
im at my wits end not knowing what to do
if i just closed my eyes and never took another breath
im sure no one would notice id eaven left
but the a still voice from within
says dont give up u cant let this illness win
so u monster thats tormented my body day and night
get the h@ll out cause i choose life
one day u may take my mind and body this is so
BUT REMEMBER THIS u cant take my soul...
