  1. My husband was diagnoised back in 04 by acciddent. Hurt his back and they took X-Rays.... they found a tumor on his lungs... Lucky, lucky lucky as he felt fine.

diagnoised with 1B had a left lobe removed. Chemo...2 more nodules aoppeared 6 monyhd later had a wedge section. Re-diagnoised at IIIB. Had a 2nd round of chemo.

Another small nodule appreard. When it showed growth his surgeon did not want to cut him again. He had that wonderful cyberknife and has been LC free for 1 year now.

  2. Incredible Denise! I don't undertand why they can't keep things right at times.

I had a sinus CT a couple of years ago, and the doctor's office called and said I have to see a Cardiac doctor as there is a problem with my heart. WHAT! They only scanned my face..... They got me mixed up with someone else.

Anyway, still praying that the results will be good. I know you will let us know when you finally find out.

  3. Just to bring the good news that Joel is now joined the 5 year survivor list. It was 5 years yesterday that he was first diagnoised. As you all know what a horrible thing to find out..... we were so scared and did not know where to turn. Thank G-d for this site for helping us get through.

    Here's to many many more. :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen: +

  4. Michele, I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your sweet husband. I say sweet because that is way you describe him. What a wonderful soul he has.

Pleae take some comfont in knowing you were with him in the end and you had made his passing so much easier having you there and talking about all those sweet memories. To make a person smile in a state like he was in was an indication that he did hear you and how much he loved you.

His sick physical body may be gone but his soul will live on and he will be waiting for you when it is your turn to join the eternal. And it will be a glorious reunion.

You were blessed to have someone who loved you unconditionally and I can't imagine the grief you are feeling. I only know that even though your heart is broken it will someday be whole again and he will live on through you and all the wonderful memories you shared together.

    My heart to yours,

  7. Just got the results of Joel's pet. He had an appointment on Friday to find out and he was on pins and needles this time. But we actually just got a call from his Cyberknife Doctor who also received the results and it is GREAT news.

We had a visit from NED again!!!! This is now one year LC free.... the longest it has been.

There a tiny uptake which they want to watch and he will have another pet in 3 months. This did not concern her at all.

Thank you again for your prayers and good wishes. You could uncross those fingers and toes now!

It is now one year LC free.... that's a record for him.

  8. Oh Susan,

I am so sorry to hear what your mom is going through and what the treatment is doing to her. Poor lady....

I will pray that she starts to feel better and those nasty symptoms leaves her.

I really am at a loss for words but please know I hold her tight in my thoughts. Hang in there...

  9. You should try and get Tamiflu and keep it just in case. Its hard to get docs to give perscriptions but in cases where a persons immune system is low or is a threat to your lung capacity you could probably get it.

Here is the link if you want to read about it.

Has anyone taken it in the past?

  11. Hi Barb,

GREAT news about your NED diagnosis! That must be such a relief off your mind.

As far as the predisone that is only temporary and it should take care of your problem.

So glad the Ambiem is working! Is a horrible feeling when you can't sleep. As least now you can get relief. zzzzzzz

  12. Susan, I am so glad you could be there for your mom. Very glad to hear the treaments are going good so far.

I know that nasty Neulasta shot could be trouble for some people. It was horrible for Joel, much worse then the chemo. They used to give him the shot the day after his treatment. They changed it to two days after and that seem to have made a difference.

    Will be thinking of her..

  13. Beautiful letter Nick... with so much meaning. I hope it helps someone on here who have been putting off seeing or just calling someone dear.

I know how much you loved your mom and I know you still mourn her. My condelences goes out to you once again for all you have endured during her illness. She also had a wonderful son and daugher-in-law by her side. She was so lucky to have you both there for her.

I know she is with you and really enjoying that grandaugher of hers.

    My heart to yours, Nick

  14. I am so sorry to hear the news about your friend..... and so young... it just is not fair. Any age isn't fair but being so young with little ones is really pulls at your heartstrings. I pray that they could do something to help her.

It so hard as I don't know what to say to make this any easier. C sucks and we have to find a cure for this monster!

I will pray for your friend....

  15. Dearest Sarah,

First of all, sorry I found this post so late, but I am so glad you posted. Yes, your dad was definetely one of the people on here who will always be rememembered. He was always here for us and has help me persoanlly and so many others through all our endeavors we had to endure be it the victim or care giver of this monster. The whole time he never complained about himself. There were times we had no idea what he was going through as he kept it too himself.

Today is the 7th and since I missed the anniversary of his passing I will light a candle expecially for him today.

If it was not for you dad I would not have known cyberknife exsisted. Because of his knowlege my husband was able to have it done and has been LC free for close to a year. We will find out next week if he is still clean.

I could only imagine the grief your family is going through as he was really a very specail soul. Heaven received a wonderful gift and so lucky to have him. I know how much he loved his family and grandchildren and how hard he faught this dreaded disease to be around his love ones as long as he could.

There is a big void on here without having your dad here. He will always have a special place in my heart and so many people he touch on here. I know he will always live on through the hearts of all his loves ones and through you and his beautiful family his glowing soul will always be glowing and shinning brightly...

I miss him too Sarah.... he investigatged everything and was one of the most knowledgeable people on here.

    My heart to yours sweetie,

    Maryanne
