Today we are supposed to go to NYU for a consult with the oncologist..Wouldn't it make more sense to get a pet scan first, then talk about treatment..it has been 1 week, since the diagnosis, and they are taking their sweet time.. I would think further diagnostics are more important than the treatment after the pet scan..Lets get the whole picture first!!!! Sorry for being so hyper today..It upsets me to think this cancer is spreading and they are so laid back...

I hope it has not spread yet..You are a blessing in disquise..I will tell my brother..

I appreciate this so much..All the support is just amazing..the survival stories are a God send..It is so comforting to know there are so many special people that are concerned about me and my concerns..I never relized this before..my dad died when he was 60 of Emphysema, I became a Paramedic so I could help others..Ever since that day, I have donated to the American Lung Association

Not sure about the extent yet...Going to NYU medical ceneter Thurs to meet with the oncologist..He has a 5cm tumor on the right lung..Please give me your thoughts.. Is this the most treatable of lung cancers? Appreciate all help. God Bless you all..

I am so scared..I cannot concentrate on any thing but the phone ringing..If this tumor isn't cancer, what else can it be? Do they usually find a tumor on the lung that is not cancer? Why would it get larger if it wasn't cancer..Can any one think of anything else it could be? Has this happened to any one else before? Please pray for my brother.. God Bless this group..I feel so much better when people know what I am going through..

Hello all, My brother was recently diagnosed with a lung tumor, that grew from 3 CM's to 5 CM's in 3 months time..They did a biopsy and still have no results..They will let us know tomorrow..The Dr said it is most likely cancer..He has no symptoms, and the tumor was found on a CT scan..How fast do these tumors grow, and could it be possible it is not cancer?
