Welcome, Trudy. I'm another IIIB who just celebrated 2 yrs. since diagnosis. I finished radiation treatements in 1/06 and chemo in 3/06 and since April '06 I've been taking Tarceva (a once a day pill). I'm sending prayers that your treatments are completely successful.
Take care and keep posting.

I'm so glad your mom's doing better, Jill. Sometimes you just have to be in the hospital to feel better. Praying your mom continues to do well.
Take care.

The steroids given with chemo caused me to gain a lot of weight. Once I started radiation, though, I lost the weight I had gained and more. I'm glad she's eating.

Now this will sound like sacrilege coming from a Florida resident, but I don't like orange juice at all. Never have. So please make mine an apple juice (unfiltered).

I'm grateful that I have the opportunity to send prayers out for Jackie that she can find her way in the hospital to the doctor that will take care of pain. Good luck, Jackie.

Welcome back, Lily. So glad you and your family had a wonderful time. Where's the next trip?

I haven't had a reaction like that to Tarceva, but I did have an allergic reaction to mangoes once. I had to take Benadryl for months until the rash, swollen tongue, achy joints finally went away. Good luck and I hope the doc can come up with something that helps you.

I have no answers for you, Bucky, as I'm looking for answers to those same questions. I don't think we'll ever get over the fear of the cancer coming back and the scans every three months just reinforce those fears. Hang in there and keep on posting.

Congratulations on 1 yr., Ned. Your writing really hit home with me because I reacted pretty much the way you did upon learning the diagnosis. No panic, no great stress, just an eerie calm acceptance. I really appreciate the wisdom and strength you offer through this board and others.
