Hi Sarah
Glad you found this site. You will find the members here supportive and has a lot of experience with L/C issues. I also had my upper left lobe removed. I was staged 1B as well and was given similar information as you on the preventative chemo. My first Oncologist recommended it but the surgeon, pathologist, and internal organs specialist recommended to not have it. I did alot of research online on studies that were done. I asked members here who recommended the chemo. I asked for a second opinion from Oncologist at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton. He sent it to his 5 colleagues for their opinion. 2 said not to have it, and 3 said to leave it up to the patient but if I decided to have chemo, they would include that studies did not support my decision. I had 4 rounds of chemo, Cisplatin/Vinerolbine, which I finished in April.

Hi Steve
Welcome to this site. You will find the members here very supportive and knowledgeable. I was diagnosed as Stage 1B last September and had my upper left lobe removed. I elected to have 4 rounds of adjuvant chemo as preventative as well.

Great to have you back Geri.

I'll do this in sections because my 1 finger will get tired. LOL
Most of you from chat will recall that my daughter and her husband are quading enthusiast. They go out every weekend with 20 or so of their friends. They decided to have a quad themed wedding. The wedding cake had a quad as a topper along with tire imitation tire tracks around each layer. The tables all had glass bowls partially filled with sand and a miniature quad, etc,The wedding procession from the church, through town to the reception location included approximately 30 quads with my daughter and her husband leading the way. So all these quads were parked outside the church and got quite a few stares from passers by. Unfortunately her wedding dress went up against the tire so she had a black mark on the bottom. But they enjoyed.
I'll start on the unique recption next.

No pictures of me Patti. LOL I left Buddy home because I thought the bus might show up with Katie's dog driving.
Yes Muriel it is a story. Alot of brides would have been upset but my daughter took it in stride and everyone still had a great time. it definitely had it's memories. LOL

Thanks Randy. The wedding report may have to go in Just for Fun forum as well. It was definitely different. Especially when the entire City lost power for 3 hours in the middle of a bad thunder and lightning storm. LOL But the best was made out of a bad situation including my daughter standing on the tailgate of a truck to throw her bouquet.

I think this thread may have offended some members on here. It was all in good natured fun and alot of people had a laugh from it. We can all use a laugh. But I don't want to upset anyone by doing that. So I would like to ask everyone to stop replying to this thread. Thank you.

August is one of the long months. Glad it wasn't February. Are you sure you didn't mean a cow's ear ?

Just confirms my comment on how good you ladies are. Difficult to make something out of nothing. And Patti did say they look good now..Maybe I wouldn't even recognize myself now. LOL
