I met with the oncologist this afternoon for my 3 month check up. He reviewed the CT Scan I had on Tuesday and he felt that everything was fine. There were no spots on the lungs or liver. He did notice some scar tissue from the operation and wants a radiologist to do a comparison with a previous CT Scan to confirm. This will take another week for the final results.

Hi Bette
I had a lobectomy on my upper left lung in September. I was also staged 1B. I just finished my 4 rounds of adjuvant chemo on Friday. I had Cisplatin/Vinerolbine for the first 3 and Carboplatin/Vinerolbine for the last round. Welcome to the site. You will find the members here very friendly with lots of information to share.

Thank you to everyone for your kind words and encouragement. Maybe when I go for my CT scan on April 1st, they will send me home and tell me it was all an April fool's joke. LOL But I imagine I will be posting my results on April 4th. Yes Muriel I am well enough for a beer, virtual and real. LOL

I had the chimp too. LOL

Finished my last round of adjuvant chemo yesterday. First 3 rounds were Cisplatin/vinerolbine. The Cisplatin was causing a hearing loss and ringing in the ears. So round 4 was changed to carboplatin/vinerolbine. I have a CT scan scheduled for April 1 to set a baseline and meet with the oncologist on April 4th. Then alternating chext x-ray and ct scan every 3 months.

Randy I agree with checking into the class action suit.
As for the "what if", they are there in everyone's life when someone passes regardless of what the cause of death was. If someone passed away in an out accident on the way to the grocery store, there would be what if's. Everything that you did then and still continue to do now would make anyone proud. Take care.

Not garage sale but similiar. We have a public salvaging area at our local landfill. A guy just found a retirement plaque there given to a sea captain. There was a small gold ship at the top, then verses, then a gold coin at the bottom. He just had the coin appraised in Edmonton and it is valued at $32,000. He is now getting the ship appraised as well as rubies he found with it.
