Hi there! I've been lurking and reading posts for about a month, but decided tonight is time to join in.
My mom was diagnosed at the beginning of January with non small cell lung cancer with mets to the brain and lymph nodes. She has been through 15 rounds of radiation, radio surgery and two weeks ago had chemo--carbo/taxol. She's 84 and has had a really rough time with all of that.
I have been her one and only caregiver since the beginning. I'm beginning to feel the strain of it and know I need help. (my father passed away October 25, 2007)
I have yet to figure this forum out. I don't know how to put all the 'details' of her illness and treatments at the end of this post like many of you have. HELP!
I'm SO glad I stumbled onto this site. I have learned so much while lurking and know I'll learn even more now that I've jumped in and joined.
