  1. Congrats Judy!!! Please enjoy your "break"... I am always happy to see people post about being able to take a break from chemo... Dad really never had that option, even thought he never had a progression of the cancer the whole 3 yrs.. always stable disease. He would occasionaly get a longer in between time during the holidays or if the doc was on vacation. Good luck to you Judy!!!!

  4. Good Day all!

Its a rainy day here in Oshkosh... eck.... Today, I am going to try to get some stuff done around here... what I really need to do is some laundry.. but my dryer is broken and I don't want to drag it all to the laundromat, maybe I will go out to my Mom's... hehehe.

I am going out with the girls tonight! I am looking forward to it, since I haven't seen on of my friends, it seems, all summer!

I hope that all our friends that were/are in the path of Ike are safe and sound. One of my really good friends for HS, his brother(who i graduated with) and wife and kids live on Houston, the wife and kids got the last fight out yesterday and know are in KY at my friends house and his brother had to stay behind.. Mike is an Oncologist there at MD Anderson and needed to stay at the hospital.. I beleive that he is a GYN-ONC. I am hoping to hear some news today on his situation... I hope he is safe!

    Have good day everyone!

  5. Here in Oshkosh, WI....

2 days ago, it was 3.63 , Yesterday 3.73... today 3.84, the last time I saw... I did just found a staion that was 3.79.. I am sure it will be higher in the morning again.. My friend in KY said that the gas by him rose at least 50 cents over night there... if this keeps up I am gonna have to walk my daughter to school... I can hardly afford to drive the mile..lol

  6. Good Morning!

Cloudy and somewhat...muggy? hard to tell... its sort of warm, but its damp. No big plans for today. I am helping my neighbor move, but thats about it! Matt is gone until Sunday, so I am staying in tonight and hanging out with the kids. Maybe we will invite some friends over for a movie night.

Stay safe friends in the path of Ike...

  7. Hi kasey!

When I had my first baby.. it took them 8 times to get an IV in me... I have the scars to prove it... so I agree with the following..

    1. DRINK LOTS OF WATER>>>> dehydration is a major part of not being able to "find" a vein

    2. the heating pad thing is a good idea too.. i am surprised that the don't offer that there..

    3. ask for someone else who specializes in IV's, like and anesthesiologist..

I hope you are able to have the tests so you can get some reilief!!!
