  1. Welcome and I am glad you found this support community. You never know, you may end up doing radiation and chemo at sometime. You oncologist will discuss all options including future options. Although, it sounds awful now, you are lucky that you are in an early stage. Please keep us up to date and prayers to you.

  2. Welcome! And it is scary and awful. My husband thought he had blood clots and the cause of the clots was lung cancer. So, it is very scary...but believe me, it will get better. There are many treatment options and the more tests that are run, the more you will know. Knowing the plan of action is half the battle. You will find alot of information and comfort here.

  3. Extra prayers sent your way! As a caregiver, I have found the book Challenge Cancer and Win! It's a step by step nutrition plan for specific cancers and details food, supplement, and vitamin studies completed. The book could be more updated but still has alot of good information and I feel great about helping him in this way.

  4. My husband gets the same dizziness. I rented a wheelchair for our last outing which came in very handi and plan to do it for a wedding at the end of the month since my husband will have chemo a day before. Have fun at the weddings!

  5. Andrea,

I am very happy for you and your family about the results. When my husband had his last Pet Scan, he waited for the scan, traveled to the onc.'s office, the onc. consulted with the necessary doctors, and we then met with the doctor. The whole process took about three hours but it was great, to know immediately.

  6. TBone---

Good to hear you are tolerating the Taxotere well enough. Prayers and hugs that this treatment shrinks that cancer away! This is the next line of chemo that my husband will be taking....

  7. Hi Jessnick!

My husband was in hospital for almost two and one-half months and is really doing great now! So hang in there, take a pad a paper with you for questions and notes, and make sure you and doctors schedule time to talk. You will find lots of answers and support here.

  8. He is on the number one morning show with two other guys. It's on the station 98Rock. My husband is the longest running newscaster (and he does the usual morning show comedy stuff) at the same rock station in the country. Each year, the station has a big infield party at the Preakness. If you watch the race tomorrow on TV, you probably will see the 98 rock signs. The station installed a studio in our house so he could continue to work with the other guys until he is ready to work at the station. I now get up at 4:30 AM with him!! The show is pure comedy, interviews, and news. My husband was really touched by the listeners. They sent cards, e-mails, gifts, and contributions. He has put a new face on lung cancer in our city.
