  1. Hi Beth,

I missed this post yesterday and I would have been like the others about the "interesting" message. :? Sometimes, I wonder if doctors put themselves in their patients position before they say those things. The good thing is that the end result sounds good. I will be keeping you in my prayers that the Tarceva will be easy for you to tolerate. You could use at least 3 months to rest easy. Keep us posted.

    Hugs,

    sue

  2. Welcome Debbie,

We are glad you have joined us here. None of us want to be here , but we are thankful to have one another. There are people here in all different stages of lung cancer that are doing quite well. There are some differences that you may want to know first. There's non small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. There are differences in treatment and responses of both. You will also see a designated forum for each here. The more information you have about his diagnosis, the better the members here will be able to help you. For now, take it one day at a time and know that this site is wonderful for information and support. I'm sure you will soon know that you have joined a very , warm and caring group of people.

    Hugs to you

    sue

  3. Hi Steve,

I'm sorry that I can't answer any of your questions, but I wanted to welcome you to the group. Sorry you have to be here, but know that you have found a wonderful group to be with . The only thing I can offer you right now is to keep you and your girlfriend in my prayers. I hope you find the answers you are looking for .

  5. ((((Angie)))),

You ramble all you want to. We all need to do that when those we love are having bad days. This disease is filled with so much guess work and so many unknowns. The holidays makes our emotions that much more intense. I can relate to how you feel. I will keep you in my prayers and hope tomorrow will be a better day.

    God Bless,

  6. Welcome Catlover3,

My husband has nsclc, but there are many here with sclc. I have read several stats since I have been here of survivors over 2 years. Read the profiles of people here and you will see for yourself. Remember something else that is so very important... You are you. There are no 2 cases alike. Create your own success story . We will be here to support and pray for you.

    God Bless,

    sue

So glad you decided to join us. We feel like we know you already. Hope you will come often and share with us in supporting one another. My husband has cancer and I have 2 sons at home that are probably going through a lot of the same thoughts and fears that you are. By coming here, hopefully , you can help yourself and others. Hope to hear from you often.

    God Bless,

  15. Hi Sharon,

Somehow I know that you and most of us here will appreciate this Thanksgiving in a very special way. So many times, in past years, I may have taken this day for granted , but this year, because I have my hubby to share it with me, it will be a gift from God. I want my hubby to enjoy all the good feelings that come with this day. God Bless you and all of the families here on this day and always.

    Love, sue

  16. Poor Beth, have you considered writing a book? You have really been put through it , but you have managed to hang on to your sense of humor. Wonder what Don meant by "hang in there" ? See what you started.... lol Have a great Thanksgiving

    God Bless

  17. Welcome Suz,

I hope you won't be needing this group for yourself , but if you do I hope you know that you couldn't be in a better place. My husbands case was different. I can't help you with your case , but I can say you sound like you are on the right track. I agree with you to not wait for one year to get the next scan. If it is cancer, some kinds grow very slowly , but some are more aggressive and grow much quicker. The earlier a diagnosis can be made the better. Hopefully, someone can come along that is more knowledgeable than I am and can give you good advice. Take care of yourself and if you need anything just ask. There's always someone here more than happy to help you.

    God Bless

    sue
