Nutrition and chemotherapy

I know that being well hydrated is very important. So have your brother drink lots of water before, during, and after chemotherapy. That will hopefully lessen some of the nausea and dry skin than can result.

If he does not feel up to eating, nutrient rich milkshakes can be key. Ensure is one brand, but there are others.

Good luck. I am sure people with more info than me will be along soon.

Hi

Please visit the alternative and complementary therapy forum. You should find information there relating to alleviating side-effects. You could also try a search using the Search icon at the top of the page. My Mum is taking lots of anti-oxidants and has had very little in the way of side effects from chemo.

I wish you all the best.

Karen
