jorja
I was just wondering for those of you who have radiation fibrosis, are you on oxygen? My dad has fibrosis and needs oxygen when he starts walking or climbing stairs. He is okay when he sits still. I just want to know your experiences with this. thanks, jorja
john
There are some trials for IPF, Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. IPF is fibrosis that has no known cause. Granted, that fibrosis in lung cancer patients is usually due to radiation, but I wonder if some of these drugs would help with fibrosis due to treatment One is called tetrathiomolybdate http://www.coalitionforpf.org/aboutus/p ... 020305.asp The other is called Pirfenidone. john
The interesting about tetrathiomolybdate is that it is being used as a treatement for lung cancer. Look up "copper reduction" and tetrathiomolybdate on google and this board
