Stridor.....

When I inhale I make a lot of noise. This has been the case ever since the right side pneumonectomy in May of 2003. And it's especially noticable upon exertion.

I SOUND very scarey. Over the past couple of years I've learned that there is some restriction of air entering my lung because my insides have shifted and there are scars from all the surgeries and the radiation. And sometimes I do need supplemental oxygen, and when I need it I use it.

That noise upon inhalation.... It has taken time for me to become "use" to it. It doesn't upset me as it once did. That is unless I pick up an infection/ibflammation of the epiglottis. In which case it really DOES have my attention.

There's a big difference between Wheezing and Stridor.
