Fay A. Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 are extremely effective mechanisms for pain relief when properly placed. When I had the third big surgery for the Pneumonectomy in 2003 the pain from surgery itself was minimal. The Physician who put that one in knew exactly what she was doing. It is a true blessing to the patient when family members who have taken the time to learn about the procedure and recovery stay with the patient. After some of the things I've seen I will never allow someone I love to be left alone in hospital again. And I don't care what the nursing staff has to say about it. Quote
