kelpie
This webiste is great. My mom was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer almost 5 years ago. With strong chemotherapy and PCI she is still with us today. The doctors are pretty amazed. We truly are blessed. I wish this site was available to me back then, but it is soothing to me to know that you are here now. My uncle had just just passed away from lung cancer a few months ago, and alot of emotions came back to me. It is nice to know that there is a place to vent. Thanks. Candy
Norme is right - its so uplifting to hear survival stories. We all know the worst case scenario and the doctors tend to tell us that too often (at least mine). Its wonderful to hear about survivors! Thank you for sharing. Don Wood
Kelpie, what a great testimonial for us all on your mom! Thanks for sharing her story, and please keep connected. Don
kelpie
Thanks for the replies and the support. Mom's first oncologist just wanted to treat her as a statistic. So, she seeked out someone who would treat her case as an individual one. Just goes to show that you can fight any odds. She is coming for an ACS event that i am helping to chair, and I could not be prouder to have her with me.
