kreed70 Posted November 23, 2005 Share Posted November 23, 2005 Hi~ I am normally on here for my mom butI am here for a friend today. Someone I know just had a double lung transplant. What they thought was pneumonia on all of the pre-op scan was really LC. They did the transplant and took some lymph nodes. The ones in the old lungs tested positive but the ones taken from outside the lungs were negative. She was staged at IIB. Can anyone help? What can be done? There may not be a lot of information or experience about people who've had both lungs transplanted and get diagnosed with lung cancer at the same time. I think you're going to have to rely on her medical team for information. Sending you and your friend all the caring thoughts and strength I can.
