daggiesmom
I saw on NBC tonight a new diagnostic procedure that they're developing for detection of lung cancer. Instead of a broncshocopy (?) involving what it does, this uses a camera that goes thru ALL the areas of the lung. It looks at nodules and can actually mark areas in question for further examimation. It looked great as an alternative to going thru the other stuff. If you want to know more, they said to go to www.nbc.com. I never knew that going thru a broncoscopy carries a 50% chance of lung collapse! Wow. This seems to be a GREAT advance. Also, they are talking about taking a sample from your cheek to detect lung cancer. That would be a great help to many people. See, something good every day!
