enyaw061032 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 After a series of incorrect diagnoses, saying I had a recurrent of my bronchoalveolar stage la lung cancer; then cat scan confirming had it all over the place; and PET SCAN lighting me up like a Xmas tree, bronchoscope failed; so had mediatinoscopy and got tissue for biopsy, etc. and MRI, ETC. was diagnoses with new cancer, different type called SCLC. Have 2 masses, some lymph node involvement and mass on spine (might be why I had so much hip and back pains, among other things). I had a medaport installed and got my first CHEMO yesterday; managed to get through it OK; slightly nauseated this morning. I am just so glad finally have a diagnosis and treatment plan going. Don Wood Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 Barb, sorry you have a new lung cancer that is extended. But glad you have a plan of attack and have begun. Don Quote
twodogs Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Good Lord, You've had a rough time. Here's hoping that this new regimen of treatment will give you some relief and improvement in the coming year. Best wishes. Quote
enyaw061032 Posted December 25, 2006 Author Posted December 25, 2006 Thanks so much for your post. I am trying to take one day at a time now, because that is about all I can handle. For some reason, once I finished the first chemo this past week, I felt OK that day and the next, but then have been very, very nauseated and tired. It's an awful feeling. Barb Quote
bware21 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Barb, Me thinks you deserve a break !!! Nice to see that you had the strength to battle through all that. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I expect to see the reward of success for all that you've endured. Bill Quote
