Mefoster
My husband's oncologist is going to start him on a different chemo drug called Alimta in a month. Can anyone here who has taken this chemo drug or cared for someone taking it give me some idea of what we might expect? We were told it would not be as bad as the Taxotere and Carboplatin he received 6 cycles of. Thanks for any input.
recce101
Dr. West discusses Alimta several places on his onctalk.com website. Here's a link to one: http://onctalk.com/2007/01/31/alimta-as ... therapy-2/ He also promptly answers questions posted on his site. palves
I posted in the other forum. My dad just had his 2nd round of this. He is scheduled for a cat scan in 2 more weeks. Side effects - upset stomach. Thats about it. (Dr. said he also sees some loss of muscle tone, but that could be from other stuff as well so who knows) Paula
