Guest sandy
Hi Everyone, Well, my dad has gone through his first chemo about 2 weeks ago. He had three days and next week he gets more chemo plus radiation. He hasn't shown any side effects yet, but I am assuming that will come after he's had more treatments. He has a very possitive out look and I just KNOW he's going to be okay. He's 72 and he goes out every day and walks his dog ( he's alone) and he is really quite active. He comes over every day now and we sit and talk and talk. Funny, in some ways this has brought us all closer. Sad that it takes something like this. I am still really scared about the future, but I am taking one day at a time and in my heart I think we WILL beat this thing. Sandy
AnneBurris
Sandy, Sounds like your dad has overcome what I think is the largest obstacle to beating lung cancer - a positive attitude!! It's good that he keeps active. Keep encouraging and loving him!! Anne
