jmills Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 My mom has been feeling well despite having LC. She hasn't started any treatment yet. She has become sick quite suddenly for the last 3 days - headache, threw up once, many trips to the bathroom. She saw a doctor(not her regular one) and was told it is likely the flu & to come back in a week if still not feeling well. She figures she caught a flu. Is it possible for her to become sick so suddenly from the cancer? Should the doctors be doing more? I am scared that it is not just the flu. She has her 1st appointment at the cancer clinic Nov. 29. Muriel Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 I suppose the cancer could give her those symptoms, but it really doesn't seem likely. She probably does has the flu or something like it. Be sure she gets a flue shot before starting chemo. I was told I couldn't have it during chemo. Muriel Quote
