Patti B Posted September 1, 2008 Share Posted September 1, 2008 Sarah- I saw that and Connie B. also has a post going about it. I am SO glad that he admitted that he was an ex-smoker. We need to get the word out that this is not just a smokers disease. Lung cancer has such a stigma and there is not much funding for it because everyone thinks we "did it to ourselves" which if you really think about is, how cruel a thought is that that people would just think that we deserve to die. Anyway, if more people knew how many never-smokers were out there being diagnosed with LC, then maybe people would get worried that they are not immune to this disease and provide funding and education.
