Bud Baker Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Good morning, everyone! TGIF! It was 41 degrees with a stiff north wind as I rode to work this morning. The wind is supposed to really get up this afternoon, but the temperature is supposed to make it to 66 degrees. It's just another day in my dungeon cubicle here. Have a great day, all! Quote
ts Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 It's blowing and gray this morning. Rain likely. We tried a new restaurant last night - family run Puerto Rican. Homey, well prepared, not expensive, not terribly interesting. Bad location. Good luck to them - takes nerve or something? Spring break from my night class - hooray! I think I want to bake something today. Maybe something chocolate? Quote
ts Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Since it stayed gray and cold, I'm staying close to home today. - Loaf of oatmeal, whole wheat, white no-knead bread rising and almost ready for the oven. - Pan of "Baby's got the blues" fudge brownies from "With a Measure of Grace" cookbook in the oven. The book is more story than recipes on a small town restaurant "Hell's Backbone Grill" in Boulder, Utah. A friend brought me the book after she visited there. Amazing photos. - Harvested kale from last year's garden to make pasta with sausage and kale for dinner tonight. Not working agrees with me. And my chef/sweetie. He hasn't had to cook all week! Quote
