Didn't know if everyone had seen the latest news from the World Health Organization. An article on this actually appeared in our local newspaper last week -- and our paper never publishes anything about lung cancer. Hopefully this will make a big impact on getting the message across that anyone can get LC.

Years ago my husband was in the Navy. He was assigned to the ships the USS Virginia and the Jesse L Brown when they were being built in the shipyards. They never told us how they use Asbestos to build the ships, the air in shipyards is full of it and he wore his uniform home and I handled it and washed it.

my dads cancer was due to his navy service, USS Bennington, and subsequent work on helicopters and aircraft.

And now the WHO says air pollution also caused lung cancer, proving once again that anyone with lungs can get it.

Maybe this is one more reason to influence more research and funding for more treatments.
