Snowflake Posted March 7, 2004 Share Posted March 7, 2004 So, the family and I head to a local builders' show today and as we are walking in, a lady walks up and asks the boy if he would like a coloring book... Okay... And then, she hands me a pamphlet and SOOO earnestly tells us that we NEED to get our house tested for radon because it's the SECOND LEADING CAUSE OF LUNG CANCER (I helped her finish her sentence), then told her it was okay, I was already fighting lung cancer and our house is fine... Omigod, I thought the woman was going to just fall to pieces! Her face fell, she says "I'm so sorry"... I told her not to be, it wasn't HER fault and we walked on into the show. ....maybe I should have stood with her and passed out her pamphlets for a while... Hmmm...
