teresag
Hello friends - The site management has kindly allowed me to post this study announcement. This was my dissertation research, for which I am continuing to enroll study participants now that I've completed the initial pilot study. This advertisement has been approved by the Institutional Review Board of Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, Oregon. Anyone with NSCLC who has not had thoracic surgery within the past month is eligible. Location is not a barrier; all communication can be done via mail, email and phone. Lung Cancer Patients Needed for Symptom Study Sixty people with non-small cell lung cancer are needed to take part in a study examining the influence of lung cancer perceptions on symptom distress. Study participants will fill out 4 questionnaires, and twenty people will also be interviewed by the investigator about symptom distress. Filling out the questionnaires takes about 20 minutes. The interviews take about 20-60 minutes. All study participants will have an opportunity to talk about their illness with the investigator, a clinical nurse specialist and OHSU School of Nursing faculty member. Contact Teresa T. Goodell, PhD, RN, CNS at (503) 522-2076 or email lungcancerstudy@hotmail.com to learn more about the study. Many thanks for your interest!
