When fundraising for our Relay here in March, I put a donation box in my local video store. Over four weeks, I collected about $20, which I thought was pretty disappointing. Anyway, when I went to pick the box up after the event, the owners of the store suggested that I leave the box there all year to raise funds for next years Relay - COOL!! This time however, I put a badge on the box with my name on it and that I am walking for my mum who was diagnosed with cancer in August 2003; and in 2 weeks, more than $50 has been donated!!! So, my tip is to 'personalise' your donation box - this has resulted in a 400% increase in donations for me!! Good luck everyone.
