My friend just e-mailed me this link and it is not the first I've heard of this laetril (B17). In fact the technician that did my pet scan went on about it. Is anyone familiar with it or checked into it? Just curious, sounds interesting, to say the least...http://www.worldwithoutcancer.org.uk/

Hi Cherry,

I know I had seen something on the site about this. I went to the top of the page and did a search on laetril and came up blank, but when I put in B17 I found the information that Rick Brown had posted earlier. I'm still learning how to use all the features of this site and there are a lot of good ones. Anyway, you can use the search or look under alternative therapies for the B17 posting. Hope this helps.

Dear Cherry,

I've been aware of Laetril for decades. I remember first hearing about it way back when-in the 60's or 70's-when the actor Steve McQueen was going to Mexico for Laetril treatments for his cancer (if my memory serves me correctly.) I remember reading that Laetril was made from apricot pits. I don't know if it "works," but my guess is that it doesn't or we would all be taking it by now.

That's about the extent of my knowledge on the subject.
