Ry
Welcome Cathy~ I am sorry I am late to the welcome party. I wish you luck with stopping smoking. Zyban worked for my husband. I went to another member's funeral yesterday and the priest made the comment that upon diagnosis he told him "are you living with cancer or are you dying of cancer?" Sounds like you are going to live with cancer. I wish you all the best. Rochelle
elnodel
Dear Cathy, Welcome to the board. I'm so glad about the liver. LEt us know about the scan...we'll be hoping for the best. Sounds like you've got a great relationship with your doctor -- something that's truly vital. And I know the medical care in London is terrific -- my sister and brother-in-law lived there for years and had nothing but raves about the system despite the skepticism of so many south of the border. Good luck with the smoking. My husband quit the day he coughed up blood (and the whole rigamarole started). He's never looked back. This after five failed attempts at stopping in the past. Cancer can be a great motivator. Everytime he starts feeling a craving, he remembers that swoosh of blood and that stops it cold! Keep us posted on your progress.
