kimblanchard
I am receiving vinblastine on an every other week basis. Generally, I feel very good with this treatment and found that I can continue my normal daily activities without interruption. After the last three infusions, however, I have experienced significant pain the in the hand and lower arm that I have received the infusion. I get the infusion on Thursday and by Tuesday the pain starts. The pain increases thru the following Thursday and Friday. Over the weekend the pain starts to subside and by the following Monday it is gone. The doctor has prescribed Vioxx which gives me about 6 hours of relief. I have found that heat will work sometimes and some muscle ointment will work. I am just wondering if anyone else has experience this type of pain. Do you know what is the cause? What did you use to get relief? Thanks for your help.
Donna G
This info from chemocare.com http://www.chemocare.com/bio/bio.sps?iBiographyID=7958 It says that this drug if it leaks into tissue can cause problems. Donna G
