teresag Posted October 2, 2004 Share Posted October 2, 2004 Cat, This trial enrolled 50,000 participants (yes, that's no typo) in only 2 years and is now finished enrolling. The fact that they had to enroll so many people shows that they do not expect a huge payoff, sadly. (Called statistical power in the research world.) Participants will be followed for 8 years, but I'm sure preliminary results will be published before then. We're all waiting to see what it shows..... BTW, is that photo from near your house?
