“LUNGevity’s new Clinical Trial Finder allows people to be proactive in their diagnoses, providing access to critical information that can change outcomes for patients and allow those patients to participate in the research process,” noted Charlie Rudin, LUNGevity Scientific Advisory Board Chair and Professor and Chief of Thoracic Oncology Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. “Clinical trials often offer patients access to the most advanced treatments that could help extend their lives."

Find lung cancer clinical trials that match your individual situation. The LUNGevity Clinical Trial Finder makes it easier to find available clinical trials by type of lung cancer and geographic location, and provides information and links to the medical centers at which these studies are taking place.

Hi Aaron,
I am sorry that you are feeling like no one is listening to you. Is there a Nurse Navigator you can talk to or maybe go outside of this treatment center to a different group of doctors? In a different city perhaps?

Hi Isaut,
I'm sorry that you have to be here. We are here for you. Here is a great link to resources that LUNGevity has on the website. http://www.lungevity.org/support-survivorship/caregiver-resource-center/practical-resources-for-caregivers
I would like to mention that over the years that I have been able to connect with survivors, most of them mention that having one notebook that gets written in often works well. Whether it is for questions, taking notes based off of what doctors say, treatment options, next steps etc...That may be a good way to start. You may get an overwhelming amount of information all at once, so a notebook will help you come back to it when you are ready.
If you have any questions please let me know. Please keep posting, I look forward to getting to know you.

We need your help to continue the fight against lung cancer. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in men and women in the United States. Each year more than 200,000 people who have never smoked are diagnosed with lung cancer, many at a young age. Numerous lung cancer survivors have a family history of lung cancer or are affected at young age with no history of smoking, suggesting that genetics play an important role in lung cancer risk. Our team of highly reputable researchers in the Department of Genetics and Genomics at Mount Sinai is looking for people to participate in a study to help us better understand what hereditary risks may contribute to lung cancer, a crucial step towards improving screening, early detection, prevention measures and even targeted treatments.
Are you a lung cancer survivor who was diagnosed at a young age (less than 45 years old) or with a family history of lung cancer? We would like to study your DNA! If so, please contact our Mount Sinai research coordinator, at 212-824-8954.

Hi everyone! Here is a opportunity you might be interested in from Opinion Research. Here is their message:
We are interested in conducting some telephone interviews, this month, with people who have been diagnosed with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer, in order to gain some insight into your experience treating and diagnosing this disease, as well as your thoughts about possible future ideas currently in development.
We are offering $200 as a thank-you for taking the time to participate in this one-hour telephone interview. Of course, I promise that this is not a sales presentation, of any sort--strictly opinion research.
If you think you might like to participate, please get back to me at your earliest convenience.
Thank you, and best regards,
David Leonard
