Hi Sandy:
I am sending you a PM. My mother had treatment at the Cross too and she is doing great. Her oncologist at the Cross told her that if she does not relapse within three months that he could reuse the same chemo. He also mentioned Topotecan that could be used. I sent you his name, see if you can see him.
All the best,
Deb
BTW, I have found some of the doctors at the Cross to be @sses!!!

Oh my gosh Betty, I can't believe this. I know that I have not been a steady poster on the board, but I read daily and you are one of the people that has touched me deeply with your empathy and cheerful advice.
I can not find the words to express how sad I am right now. You are like a rock to many and I am hoping that a miracle touches your life real soon as I know He can provide.
Prayers and strength for you,
Deb

Sorry to hear your mother is going through such a hard time right now. Have you asked the doctors about Zofran and Megace? The Zofran will keep the nausea at bay, and the Megace will increase her appetite. My mother relied on it for awhile after treatment and now she is 2 lbs over her weight when she originally got sick.
Hope this helps,
Deborah

Hi Kim:
Prayers coming your way for your sis! Also, please tell her not to worry. I had the same thing and it took a short day surgery to get rid of it. It was a lazer surgery and totally painless.
Take care,
Deb

Single parent, (2 boys, 11 and 6), of 6 years and counting here!!! One thing, DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF.... Get what you can done, and remember, the laundry won't run away unfortunately (have hoped for that), and neither will anything else. It will all be there waiting when you can get to it, so don't worry about it. Take care of you and your kids....
Good luck, God bless,
Deb

Boy do I know exactly what you mean, I have hesistated posting about my mother for so long as not to "tempt the fates"!
I guess I just have to learn to put my faith where it should be, in God, and don't worry so much.
Take good care,
Deb
