  1. I was on Tarceva for six years, the best relief from the rash is Eucerin Cream Original. For stomach issues I took my Tarceva in the middle of night, I also took Imodium and probiotics daily. We have a targeted therapy and EGRF group on Facebook sponsored by Lungevity. Good luck, Don
  2. I have been on Opdivo for 13 infusions the only side affect is hypothyroidism so I started levothyroxine. I have nueropathy from taxol six plus years ago. I wear compression socks and just started cannabus tincture that seems to help. It is approved for medical use in California Good luck Don

  4. Hi Everyone, I hope to see you all at the DC Summit May 1st. I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in June on 2009. After IV chemotherapy and radiation I was put on 150 mg of the targeted therapy Tarceva. That was January of 2011, it has ben five years and it is still keeping me stable with minimal side effects. Take care, Don
  5. I was diagnosed with stage 4 non small-cell lung cancer in June of 2009. I spent the next year receiving radiation, six cycles of Taxol, Carbo and Avastin, followed bt six cycles for Gemzar for two nodules that showed up in my liver. In January of 2010 I was put on 150 mg of a targeted therapy Tarceva for advanced-stage non-small cell lung cancer. This January it will be five years that I have been taking this therapy and I am still stable. I am not only stable but mountain bike 10 miles a day in our local mountains. I met the love of my life on a cancer web site in 2011. We spent 2 1/2 years together fighting this disease. Penny passed on 1-21-2014 after battling small cell lung cancer for 32 months. My last promise to her was that I would live life to the fullest and continue to advocate for more research and awareness for lung cancer. Penny reminds me she is still watching over me when I find a penny just when I need her support the most. Don
  6. I am the Business Development Manager for Scott Technology Group, when not at work you can find me in a spin class before or after work. On the weekend I will be out in Mother Nature hiking or biking with my friends. I was dx with Stage 4 Lung Cancer in June of 2009. Since then I have done radiation, six cycles of chemotherapy for the lung cancer, then six cycles of Genzar for mets to my liver. I have been stable since March of 2010 and still take the cancer pill Tarceva daily. All through my journey I have kept a positive attitude, good nutrition, plenty of exercise and try to live my life by spiritual principles, I feel they all have played an important part in my recovery. The bad news is I have cancer, the good news is it has taught be to live life to the fullest. I never miss an opportunity to hike, bike, snowshoe or anything that keeps me active and out in nature.
